Return To Sports & Active Life
“I loved working with Teresa before and after giving birth. She gave me the confidence and strength to return to the activities I loved after recovery, helping me feel like myself again. As a physical therapist she helped me understand how everything connects and the best ways to prepare and heal, and she put me at ease during a vulnerable time. She made such an impact on my life with the happy discovery that I could return to running after giving up on it post knee surgeries. What a happy outcome of pre/post-natal PT!"

"Teresa has been an invaluable resource throughout my postpartum journey. Her holistic approach has addressed not only my immediate short-term recovery and restoration of strength and endurance, but has also powerfully helped me effectively shed my limiting beliefs that I am "inactive" and "not cut out to be an athlete". She brings such a wealth of knowledge about movement and the body to every session and customizes her treatment to fit my lifestyle, schedule, and evolving ability level in ways that feel both doable and challenging. She is also so warm, encouraging, and supportive and is a true gift to have in my corner advocating for the best care possible and believing in what I am capable of (and pushing me to reach those new heights) long before I do. Daily movement and activity are now a non-negotiable part of my life, and I credit Teresa for making the journey here a fun, safe, and hopeful experience. I feel more confident, empowered, in alignment, and aware of how I carry myself than I ever did before. "

“Teresa is the only PT I’ve ever had that has ever made a real, lasting difference for my chronic pain & postpartum recovery. Physical activities that doctors and past PTs told me wouldn’t be possible for me are now back on the table again. Instead of just temporarily treating symptoms, she delved into my movement and functional patterns and worked with me to address the root causes of my pain sustainably and holistically. She is well versed in the unique physical challenges of early motherhood and recommended interventions that worked for my lifestyle, physical condition, and available time. She knows I have a life outside of my pain and always wants to help me get back to what really matters.”

“Working with Teresa was the most impactful decision I made during my pregnancy and postpartum journey — she was my secret weapon. Before seeing her, I was worried about preparing my body for childbirth while continuing professional-level dancing. As my pregnancy progressed, I dealt with new challenges every week, including severe pubic symphysis pain in the third trimester. While my OB gave generalized advice to “just stop dancing,” Teresa demonstrated her incredible intuition and custom care. She didn't use a standardized protocol; she understood my unique history and symptoms. She empowered me to listen to my body, teaching me how to engage muscles differently so I could stay highly active right up until delivery. This customized approach yielded phenomenal results. In the weeks before labor, she taught me how to effectively engage the right pelvic floor muscles to deliver the baby. My pushing during labor was so smooth and efficient that the attending OB was genuinely surprised by the easy delivery of a first-time birthing parent! My recovery was tough as I got back to professional dance training, but again, Teresa was by my side, helping me navigate the various aches and pains of new motherhood. She's not only a highly skilled and knowledgeable PT who offers holistic insight on smarter use of the body, but she is also incredibly warm, non-judgmental, and fun to work with. Her great bedside manner and sense of humor make sensitive subjects approachable and positive. I recommend Teresa for anyone preparing for birth, recovering postpartum, or simply seeking expert, intuitive care. She's a gem!”

“Teresa is the most intuitive physical therapist I have ever been treated by, and I have a long history of back issues stemming from scoliosis. I have a very specific issue that continually aggravated other parts of my body, and while she always addressed the point of pain at hand with success, she was keen to monitor my spine and underlying issues there. Teresa’s amazing “bedside manner,” explaining in layman’s terms the how’s and why’s, providing exercises and movements that work, and cheering me on for small steps, added to my complete trust and respect of her work. She is unlike any other PT, and I believe, one of the best.”

“Teresa is unlike any other care provider that I’ve worked with previously. I scheduled a session with her because her practice brought together the critical knowledge areas that I needed - Physical Therapy, a focus on Pelvic Health, and Pilates. She seemed the perfect match. What I found was a complete surprise - a partner beyond measure that joined me enthusiastically on a journey to understand what my body was experiencing and how to bring it some relief. She is a highly competent PT, with a deep knowledge of physiology and pelvic function and health challenges. A movement therapist, that leverages her training in Pilates to help her clients strengthen and learn more about the way the body is designed to move. Beyond that, Teresa is caring, knowledgeable, respectful, empathetic, AND a partner, champion and advocate for her clients. Meeting them where they are, respecting them as the owners of their bodies and experiences, listening for cues that will help her help them, suggesting other modalities and treatments that can augment or boost the care that she provides. She cares for and treats the person with a wide lens, considering aspects that impact their experience beyond the physical - their past, their work conditions, relationships, and cultural pressures on women and gender relations. I’ve worked with her for only a short time and have already felt a reduction in my pain levels, an increase in physical function, and a clear sense of the emotional and psychological aspects that impact how I feel and deal with my body. I trust her entirely and can’t recommend her highly enough as a partner and advocate for women looking for help with their healing journeys.”

Pregnancy and Postpartum Recovery
“During my second pregnancy I knew I needed to see a Physical Therapist early on when I had almost debilitating pubic bone pain. Thankfully I found Teresa. SHE IS AMAZING! Her warmth and compassion during our sessions really eased my anxiety during my pregnancy and post partum. She knows exactly what needs to be done for any physical ailment and I always left her office in less pain and more knowledge of how to combat it at home. Although some of the massage techniques and tools were painful, she was able to still keep me laughing and engaged. She never made me feel rushed or silly for asking too many questions and she really took the time to understand the background of why I was having pain or what I was doing to cause the injury. I truly feel that she was the reason my recovery after my second baby was so much easier and faster than my first. Please see Teresa if you have any kind of Physical Therapy need she will be the best thing you've ever done for yourself!”

“Teresa is by far the best physical therapist I've had the opportunity to work with. I've worked with 5 PTs over the years between personal injuries and two children, and she is the only one who has really taken the time to treat my body as a system instead of just trying to fix one problem at a time. She is thoughtful and caring, practical in her approach to tips and daily exercises, and extremely knowledgeable in her practice. It's been a joy working with her and I owe much of my body's healing to her!”

"Working with Teresa was absolutely transformative through my first pregnancy, a challenging first postpartum recovery, and a surprise second pregnancy just 8 months after I gave birth to my first baby. Teresa helped me strengthen and prepare my body and pelvic floor for birth, and then guided me through recovery from a long labor and emergency c section, ensuring I regained strength at the appropriate pace, ensuring my c section scar was healthy and flexible, and honoring and supporting my desire to return to running. She then supported me through continued recovery and a second pregnancy, helping me navigate what was possible in that time. During my first, very complicated birth, my medical team told me how prepared my pelvic floor was and how well I was pushing, all of which I attribute to working with Teresa, and without which my recovery would have been much harder. Along the way, she taught me so much about my pelvic floor, my body, alignment, and recovery. And perhaps most importantly, she met me where I was at every step, providing emotional support, checking on my mental health, holding my frustrations with the pace of recovery, and considering my holistic wellbeing. Teresa is an absolutely incredible provider, and I feel so fortunate to have worked with her through this physically and emotionally demanding journey. Her approach to care fills a massive void in our healthcare system, particularly around postpartum care. I cannot recommend her highly enough!"

“Working with Teresa postpartum was truly a gift from the heavens. She cared for the whole me—physically, mentally, and emotionally. She even checked in on the extensions of me: my husband and my newborn daughter. Teresa not only helped me restrengthen my pelvic floor, but she also guided me through the new body mechanics of motherhood—how to wear a baby carrier properly, support loose postpartum joints, and relieve tight shoulders from endless baby cuddles. Most importantly, Teresa gave me permission to see postpartum recovery not as a six-week window, but as a full year of healing. That perspective helped me extend grace to myself—to rest, restore, and truly nourish. Having Teresa on my care team after birth was one of the wisest decisions we made.”

“Teresa supported me through postpartum recovery after my first child, and through the entire pregnancy and postpartum period of my second. Her care has been critical to my physical and emotional health, allowing me to show up fully as a partner and mother. I came to her with a long list of challenges: a traumatized pelvic floor from forceps delivery, two-degree tears, sciatica, hypermobility, pubic bone pain, two dislocated ribs from labor and delivery, back spasms following a car accident at 35 weeks pregnant, TMJ pain, and plantar fasciitis. Teresa met each one with deep knowledge, skill, and compassion. She has an exceptional ability to identify the root of an issue, tailor treatment to my body’s changing needs, and help me rebuild strength and alignment. Beyond the physical healing, her presence has been grounding and supportive. Always meeting me where I am, without judgment. I truly don’t know how I would have navigated these years without her guidance and expertise. Teresa has helped me feel at home in my body again.

“I cannot recommend Teresa enough! As a first-time patient seeing a pelvic floor therapist during pregnancy, I wasn’t sure what to expect — but from the very first session, she made me feel so comfortable, understood, and cared for. Her deep experience and genuine advocacy for her pregnant patients truly shine through in every interaction. As a Chinese patient, I especially appreciated how she understood the cultural values around pregnancy and postpartum recovery — from the importance of rest and body care to honoring the mother’s well-being. She seamlessly combined evidence-based treatment with an understanding of traditional values, which made me feel completely supported both physically and emotionally. Throughout every stage of my pregnancy and postpartum journey, she knew exactly what my body needed and tailored each treatment to help me heal and feel strong again. I’m so grateful for her expertise, compassion, and the way she empowers her patients to prioritize their health.”

”Teresa is such a one-of-a-kind therapist, and I feel so lucky to have run into her and had the chance to work with her. She has this incredible depth of knowledge that lets her see you as a whole person. She doesn’t just understand the body—especially the pelvic floor—but because of her own lived experience, she really gets what you might be going through, both physically and emotionally, and even how it can affect you for years to come. What I love most about her is she’s determined to teach you how to help yourself—not just hand you quick fixes. She talks so openly about the emotional side of postpartum recovery, including how much a partner’s support matters. She manages to bring humor, warmth, and honesty into every conversation. It’s the kind of care that makes you wish your mom could’ve talked to you like that, but since not all of us get that, it just makes me even more grateful for the care and understanding I’ve received from Teresa.”
